When designing this small table I searched for a solution to store books, magazines, remotes etc ... that are normally scattered arround the living room. By using the 'skeleton' of a table a storing space is created that is just ideal for those things.

All those items can be stored so no one sees them but they are still within reach.

The 'Pierce' sideboard was an exercise to create a balance between 'cold' and 'warm' materials. Therefore I created a closed cold part that is being pierced by a warm wooden open piece. It creates a playful, atractive piece of furniture that can be used anywhere in your livingroom, office, ...

It combines beauty without loosing the sense for practicality. A part is for displaying your belongings, another part is for stuff nobody needs to see.

The 'Float' table consist of a seemingly floating tabletop which is trapped between the two legs. It gives an airy feel to a sturdy table. There's a tension created by trapping the tabletop between the legs, it almost seems like it wants to get away.

This reinterpretation of the classic magazine basket turned it into a multifuncitonal object.

By adding another volume to the magazine rack it can now be used for numerous things. You can use it as a table, sit on it, store magazines and other things in it,...

The use of a coated foam made sure it became a soft object, confortable to sit on yet hard enough to use as a table.

This is my idea to save the newspaper in this digital world although it can offcourse be used to store your Ipad :-)

The simple yet different object is more than a magazine rack. it's a sculpture that's also a piece of furniture.

This metal table light gives a soft diffuse light. The idea was to create a table light emphasizing the things that are normally hidden. By using a contrasting socket and textile wire an attractive light was created.

It's a simple but tactile light which creates a nice warm atmosphere.

This bookshelf arises from the wall, curls around your books as a natural liana and then dissapears in the wall again.

The abstract lines, combined with the natural feel of the solid oak, gives this object a warm touch.

This bookshelf looks good with ánd without books and could also be used to carry cd’s, dvd’s… it might even be used as a towel rack!

Aldentro is derived from the italian"al dentro" which means 'the inside'. Because Aldentro creates everything for the inside of your home or office this seemed like a fitting name.

Who is Aldentro ?

Aldentro is Pieter Desmijter, a young creative person trying to create attractive yet functional objects and spaces. I try to give everyday objects just that little bit more so they have an added value for your interior and your life.

What does Aldentro do ?

I've already created some objects but I also create furniture and interiors on demand.
